Intravision wins NECA Excellence Awards and OH&S Award
 
Local Canberra company Intravision, has taken out the 2010 ACT Awards of Excellence for the large Data and Voice Communications category held by peak industry body, the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) on 3 September. Intravision were also recipients of the Occupational Health and Safety Excellence Award.
 
More than 300 Association members and industry representatives attended the awards dinner, held at the Realm Hotel in Canberra.
 
“Our success at the excellence awards was an acknowledgement of the outstanding achievement by a project team committed to delivering a quality installation with an emphasis on safety . We look forward to the opportunity to win back-to-back national awards having won it last year.” said Grant Bawden, Managing Director Intravision.
 
Intravision were awarded the 2010 excellence awards for the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations' new head office in the Canberra City built by Leighton Contractors for the Walker Corporation.  Intravision's scope of works included the installation of a Systimax Category 6A data and voice cabling network, a secure fibre optic network, MATV and Parliamentary TV services.  The project was valued at over $2.5 million.

Intravision now progress to the national awards to be held in Sydney in November.
